My client a leader in their field urgently requires an experienced ETL Developer to join them initially on a 12 month fixed term basis.What will you be doing as ETL/Data Developer•Work within the business to understand the projects that require ETL solutions, and to assist with delivering the pipeline of ETL development work.•Use your skills to troubleshoot existing ETL processes (bespoke Python & SQL) & Data queries, including working with other support IT functions•Design implement and document ETL solutions to migrate data from source (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL SQL Server, extracts) to target systems (AWS Data Warehouse or Data Lake) in an effective and repeatable manner. This could involve the development of new capabilities for managing our data or making enhancements to existing capabilities.•Identify opportunities for improving our ETL process & contributing to the future ETL solution design, which may include proprietary tools.What experience / skills are we looking forMust have Python Scripting skills.•Excellent SQL•Python•Problem Solving is essential•Experience of working with the Amazon Redshift data warehouse and AWS S3 would be an advantage.•Experience of working with Apache Spark would be desirable.•Understanding of data warehouse methodologies and associated best practices.•Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
