Job Description

MRICS Estates SurveyorsFlexible locations (Manchester or Birmingham)Permanent or fixed term contract rolesUp to £42,000 plus car allowance & benefits.This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking Surveyor to join an international client who works with some of the UKs leading Occupier clients. Based either from their offices in Manchester or Birmingham, my client is seeking two Surveyors to deliverestate management services across the North of England, one of which is a fixed term contract.Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Support with the effective running and management of an operational commercial property portfolio
  • Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the clients premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
  • Identify and drive through cost saving and capital raising opportunities, working with client team and other 3rd parties as appropriate
  • For sublet properties, monitor income collection and tenant liaison to ensure lease compliance
  • Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
  • Proactively manage and report against key leasehold diary events
  • Maintain direct and frequent client contact and reporting
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation regarding property management
  • Demonstrable technical competence in property management
  • Awareness of basic property accounting
  • Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
  • Industry specific packages (e.g. TRAMPS/PM&A)
  • Likely to possess post-qualification experience
  • General practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector or private practice
