The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders across MAG to overseethe implementation and communication of our CSR Strategy and its programmes. The ESG Manager will take the lead in MAGs public and regulatory-compliance reporting, producing highly engaging external reports and overseeing submissions for independent verification,ratings and certification to protect and enhance MAGs reputation.Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Work with the Head of ESG & Environmental Strategy and a wide range of internal stakeholders to support the successful and timely implementation of MAGs CSR Strategy
  • Identify and implement best practice interventions which improve the effectiveness of MAGs CSR Strategy and related communications
  • Ensure MAG maintains a thorough understanding of the relative importance of CSR and ESG related issues to both the business and its stakeholders by supporting regular independent materiality assessments in compliance with best practice
  • Inform the development of MAGs approach to corporate reporting of CSR and ESG related issues, considering the needs and expectations of our diverse range of stakeholders, including institutional investors.
  • Draft MAGs annual CSR Report and CSR/ESG related content for other reports, producing engaging content which builds MAGs reputation with stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to implement an engaging communications strategy
  • Lead the drafting and preparation of applications for external accreditation and rating, engaging leaders from across the business to achieve the best possible outcome to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable business, including through ESG ratingssuch as GRESB and Sustainalytics
  • Identify forthcoming ESG related regulatory requirements and interpret the results of ESG ratings, working with the EXCO Sub-Committee to develop and implement action plans to maintain compliance and improve performance
  • Line manage the CSR Analyst, ensuring the availability of high quality, independently assured ESG performance data and insightful management information which underpins corporate reporting and enables decision making on high-profile issues.
You:As an ideal candidate for this role, you will have experience working on sustainability/CSR/ESG projects within a large organisation; along with an intricate understanding of CSR reporting frameworks and ESG benchmarks, including the Global Reporting Initiative(GRI), GRESB and Sustainalytics. You will also have demonstrable experience in drafting engaging reports for a diverse audience, impactfully communicating complex and technical issues. Other skills include:
  • Impactful communicator, with experience in presenting and communicating technical data in an informative and influential manner
  • Strong report writing to engage an audience
  • Confident in stakeholder management and engagement
  • Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft products)
  • Open to continual professional development (CPD) to develop familiarity with contemporary issues
  • Familiarity with airport and wider aviation industry preferable
