Environmental Planner (renewable energy). UK based - Manchester & Chester.Hybrid Working Setup.£40,000 - 60,000 salary DOE.Piper Maddox are working with an energy and infrastructure focused consultancy. This company specialises in planning, environmental impact assessment, and land architecture services. With a strong and developing project pipeline, they are looking to expandtheir experienced planning team.You would have the opportunity to work on a range of projects surrounding renewable energy and other complex infrastructure. The company currently works heavily within the energy sector, particularly wind, solar, and waste to energy projects. They also havea variety of project scales and are currently involved with multiple DCO applications and NSIPs.Your role would include a blend of planning application writing and review, project site feasibility studies, EIA screening, stakeholder management, as well as the opportunity to manage a team of planning consultants both internally and externally.You would be joining an existing planning team with over 20 years of experience. This role would also allow you to work closely with EIA consultants as well as their in-house land architecture team. The company has multiple offices in the UK and operates ina hybrid working system.Useful and applicable experience for this position:* Strong experience and knowledge of the UK planning system.* Commercial acumen and ideas around strategy for planning projects.* Experience in project and people management both individually and with a wider team.* Prior experience in liaising with the relevant stakeholders and local authorities.* Knowledge of the EIA process within TCPA/DCO applications.* A passion for renewable energy and the net-zero transition.If you are experienced in the UK planning system and want to work in a tight-knit team within a consultancy environment, this could be a great opportunity for you!Feel free to reach out and get in touch for more information!Piper Maddox is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
