Job Description

English Teacher required to work full time at a secondary school in ManchesterThe school is rated as good via Ofsted and has a good reputation in the local area. This position is five days a week, full time, from September for the full academic year. You will be required to teach various classes across key stage 3 & 4 of varyingacademic abilities. You will be expected to attend all departmental meetings, be involved in planning, preparing and delivering lessons that are engaging and are able to stretch the pupils, and attend parents evenings when required/CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree educated with a good classification
  • Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in English
  • Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
