This is a highly urgent role for an Engineering Manager to oversee 3 development teams, these teams are mostly made up of contractors so any experience working alongsidecontract employees would be highly beneficial.However, your main and most important responsibility is to ensure the teams are delivering high-quality software on time.Youll be reporting into the Senior Engineering ManagerAbout the role:This is a purely management focused role, hands off from technologies but the successful candidate will come from a technical background and will need to be credible to the engineers. Youll be accountable for the leadership of 3 high performing engineeringteams working across both legacy and modern technologies.The early outcomes of your role will be managing and working with a client providing software as a service, building a good relationship with the client, and supporting key software releases over the course of the first 6 months.The most important focus in this role is to purely encourage your teams to deliver software on time, were looking for a serious operator who can get things done!The teams are in the process of scaling out their platforms to thousands of customers across the UK, so its a very crucial and busy time for them.Development teams are made up of Java Software Engineers, Product Owners, Architects, QAs working with a mix of SQL databases, with their core language being Java (a background in this is very much preferred!).Key Experience Needed:
