Better conditions. Youre used to leaving engines in better condition. But what about better conditions for youHeres an opportunity to be retrained into a brand new industry and supported by a company who can provide you with just the right amount of work and also offer you a long-term career. You would be working as a Engine Overhaul Technician within a business which generates green energy from landfill gases. We all know that Green Energy is the future, and is a sector which has been booming even during the current crisis.Youll not be left feeling excessively overworked, or end up twiddling your thumbs. Youll be working as part of a tight-knit three man overhaul team, so will avoid the potential isolation of a lone-working role. This is a Monday-to-Friday position, but youll have to be OK with frequent overnight stays during the week. Youll be taken care of though, typically in £100+ a night hotels, with breakfasts included and a daily food allowance for a nice meal and a fewdrinks.Often the team will mutually agree to work condensed hours and you can actually get all the work done from Monday-to-Thursday, giving you a 3-day weekend.Your job would focus on the field overhauls and decokes of large gas engines across multiple sites mainly around greater Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds but occasionally as far as Hull, and even on occasion up to Scotland. You would be working for a business which is large enough to offer you a career, rather than just a job. But they are also small enough that the CEO will know your name. so this is a place where if you perform well you will be recognised and rewarded forit. You will be joining a team who are supportive and always ready to help each other. As long as you have experience working on generators or heavy diesel engines such as LGV, HGV, coaches or trains then they can develop you into this industry.Working for an expanding business with revenues over £160m and over 300 staff, who have five times the sites of their nearest direct competitor you can be confident that youll have the stability and room to grow in your career.Youll be working for a green energy business who are moving into new methods of power generation, so you will certainly expand your knowledge in renewables no matter what your background.Your travel is expensed, your hotel stays all arranged for you, your vehicle, tools and workwear are supplied and you will receive quarterly bonuses on top of your normal wage. The salary is £40,000 - £45,000 + up to 15% bonus. If youre experienced with engines and looking for something better than you have now then please reply for more information. Dont worry if you dont have an updated CV, just get in touch and well take it from there. To find out more about Huxley Engineering, please visit www.huxleyengineering.comHuxley Engineering, a trading division of SThree Partnership LLP is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy | Registered office | 1st Floor, 75 King William Street, London, EC4N 7BE, United Kingdom | Partnership Number | OC387148 Englandand Wales
