Position SummaryGuarantee the performance of all operations for the EMEA markets in scope, the payroll and Time & Attendance processes, ensuring respect of employment laws, taxation and BMS HR policiesResponsible for the day-to-day leadership of the BMS payroll team assigned, for validating and approving the monthly payrolls for the EMEA markets in-scope, acting as first level of escalation for queries not resolved within the payroll specialist level.Including, payroll processing, projects implementation, employee inquiry management and issue resolution. You will also work with our external payroll vendors, PS functions and service lines, BMS business, Finance and HRBPs to ensure the effective deliveryof end-to-end employee payroll processing and query management.Detailed Position Responsibilities
  • Act as local and regional ambassador for the implementation and following of the Global Payroll Processes and People Services model.
  • Build & maintain long-term relationships with customers & key stakeholders.
  • Act as first level of escalation in what regards the payroll issues; reports the payroll escalations on regular basis to the EMEA Payroll Lead via the Service Issue Log
  • Work together with the ADP Client relationship manager and the EMEA Associate Director: regular meetings, continuous improvement plan, hold payroll provider accountable and make sure provider takes the agreed actions
  • Conduct monthly in depth payroll controls and ensure all assigned payrolls are processed timely and accurately
  • Partner with the payroll vendor, HR and Finance teams and liaison with other vendors to resolve queries
  • Work with the EMEA Associate Director on translating the Companys goals & objectives into manageable tasks for the team and ensures full understanding among team members.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes, policies and internal controls; supports Sarbanes-Oxley & other reviews internal & external audits.
  • Work together with the EMEA Associate Director to develop tactics, strategies, procedures and workflows for departments activities in order to achieve the established objectives and offer quality services to both internal and external customers
  • Fulfil periodical / ad-hoc reports for the management team and / or other internal customers based on requests after reviewing with EMEA Associate director to validate relevance of the requests
  • Participate at development of payroll strategy at EMEA level
  • Contribute with ideas in order to improve the team activities and performance
  • Day to day supervision of the EMEA Payroll Team located in Chester UK to ensure follow all approved global payroll and People Services processes
  • Support and drive assigned EMEA Payroll project on transforming payroll services
  • Contribute to project testing and implementation as needed
  • End to end processes and business understanding, including activities of other functions
People Management Responsibilities
  • Manage the process of people development and performance evaluation, providing periodic feedback, coaching and empowerment in order to promote professional growth and career
  • Identify people development plans and ensure their implementation.
  • Provide technical and managerial training to manage people according to their capacity and growth potential.
  • Coordinate / prioritize people activities in order to facilitate objectives achievement.
  • Take action and motivate people in line with BMS Behaviours.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
  • Solid experience in payroll supervision/ team leader/ team management in payroll/HR service centre covering EMEA
  • Knowledge of various EMEA countries Payroll administration processes.
  • Experience of working in a shared services environment.
  • Experience in managing teams
  • In depth knowledge of payroll principles and practices (company & country).
  • Ability to coordinate different providers, projects, actions and change requests at the same time and also have the skills to get things done from the provider and others
  • Understanding of HR processes including payroll process, Payroll Interfaces and EMEA payroll and fiscal laws
  • Knowledge of HRIT and payroll systems like ADP, SAP, Workday.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Takes ownership for the areas of responsibility and delivers high quality of work.
  • Ability to assess and promptly resolve problems.
  • Can successfully manage client expectations and can work/operate well with a variety of personalities/capabilities
