A Manchester based business who were set up over 60 years ago and are experiencing a period of continued growth from being the leaders in what they do, but also shrewd acquisitions that have been relevant for their specific industry are looking to recruit an embedded software engineer to the team design RTOS based real time embedded C software for 32 bit ARM Cortex M4 Microcontrollers, which control a range of test and measurement instrumentsThe owner of the business is hugely passionate about ensuring that their products are the most technically advanced, aesthetically pleasing and practical to use for the end user, as a result the investment in the engineering function, within electronics, software, mechanical and test has been remarkable. I personally have been involved in the recruitment of over 30 engineering professionals to this business in the past 5 years, and these have been NEW headcounts, very rarely for churn.Please find the skills my client are looking for below.Solid Embedded Software Engineering experience in C for 8, 16 or 32 bit microcontrollersReal Time software developmentMinimum 4 years experience in a software development role for instruments, control systems or similar industrial productsLow level driver development/ interfacing to digital and analogue electronics.
