Job Description

Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a prestigious engineering and design firm on a contract basis. Due to an increasing workload, our client are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Design Engineer toassist them with a long term, complex project near Manchester. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working and is outside IR35.The selected candidate will have a variety of roles and responsibilities including (but not limited to):

  • Carrying out electrical design calculations using relevant software (Amtech, Dialux etc.)
  • Conducting feasibility studies
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients
  • Assisting with the production of electrical services specifications and schedules
Essential skills, experience and attribute required for this role, are:
  • HND/degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience with the design of electrical systems
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Experience undertaking electrical survey works, preparing condition reports, scope of works and technical specifications
  • Skilled user of relevant CAD software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
