You’ll also head up Special Projects to create solutions, that can be integrated into our existing manufacturingprocess.You will also:· Develop concept designs for new projects, and create detailed schematics for internal and external manufacture using CAD Software.· Lead improvements in quality & efficiency within the design development department which in turn will improve product on time delivery & quality.· Provide day to day support & back-up to the Technical department & Sales team.· Create estimates of project requirements to enable accurate decision making on project viability.Working alongside the wider Design Team, you’ll also be their first port of call for any technical and project support that they might need.PERSON SPECIFICATION: Electrical Design Engineer, Product Development Engineer - Electrical Schematics, Electrical DesignYou must have a proven track record as an Electrical Design Engineer and be qualified to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.You will also: · Have demonstrable experience of Machine Design using CAD systems, including the creation of detailed electrical schematics.· Be a great problem solver, with an understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).· Have previously designed standardised products, components or parts.Just as importantly you’ll work well as a part of a team and have the natural ability to influence others, as well as manage your own workload in a fast-paced environment.THE COMPANY:Established in the 1940’s, we’re a family run business that has enjoyed huge success and expansion, growing to a global brand.
