  • Work as part of a cross-functional team delivering our ambitious digital strategy. You’ll join a team focused on continual improvement, experimentation and learning.
  • Implement change fast, trying different strategies, experimenting using MVT tools and learning from each interaction with our customers to deliver the right things at the right time, prioritising work to deliver maximum business value and customer satisfaction.
  • Youll need to do some of this:
  • Work collaboratively across the business to define, prioritise and develop high quality products and features that deliver demonstrable customer and business value
  • Support the development of the Distrelec digital product roadmap, prioritising work and determining commercial benefits and impact on customer experience
  • Define high level functional requirement specifications and work with business analysts and third-party suppliers to deliver and approve detailed functional requirements for development
  • Act as product owner in the agile SCRUM development process, owning relevant requirement decisions in a pragmatic manner to maximise development velocity and functional delivery
  • Act as initial point of contact for development requests and recommend the appropriate approach to delivery - MVT test, development, third party development, etc
  • Manage the product backlog in Jira, refining it to reflect priorities, balancing benefit with effort, risk and technical complexity
  • Define high level functional requirement specifications and work with business analysts and third-party suppliers to deliver and approve detailed functional requirements for development
  • Work with the UX team to ensure functional designs are aligned with the overall product roadmap, personalisation strategy and with documented functional requirements
  • Ensure that all development is documented and understood so that the cross-functional team, including designers, copywriters, translators, content publishing and user acceptance testing teams, can support the development in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure that the analysis and development teams always have an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on to ensure maximum productivity
  • Maintain contact with our sales teams, third party suppliers and contractors to ensure product requirements are aligned to regional differences in requirements, best practice, culture, compliance and systems
  • Work with the user acceptance testing team to ensure that adequate testing coverage is achieved prior to release of any developed functionality to production
  • Work with IT project managers to ensure that releases are delivered in a timely and successful manner
  • Triage defects as they are found during the development and testing process, participate in release decision meetings and support the release and testing process
  • Ensure the digital product roadmap, team processes and sprint deliverables are understood and communicated to stakeholders across the business in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the insight and analytics teams to better understand our customers, competitors and keep abreast of third-party research to better prioritise the product roadmap
  • Keep abreast with agile/SCRUM best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of development and release processes
  • We need you to have:
  • 3-4 years’ experience as an eCommerce product owner. ideally for a B2B organisation
  • In depth knowledge and experience of Hybris Marketing and Hybris Commerce
  • Experience working with agile/SCRUM processes and principles
  • Experience working with on site and offshore teams as well as managing third parties to deliver product roadmap deliverables
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital product and usability best practice
