Job Description

Dynamics 365 Data Migration SpecialistWe are proud to be working with a multi award-winning and genuinely cutting-edge IT services business who are looking to hire a talented Dynamics 365 Data Migration Specialist to join their [Microsoft Partner of the Year] Dynamics 365 Practice.This business is a true leader in its field and among the most sought-after employers in the area. The role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale data migration projects, providing solutions for high-profile public and commercial sector clients (many household-name brands).This is a new position within the team. Migration work has historically been covered by Data Engineers, Technical Architects etc within the business, however sustained growth of the practice and high demand, driven by significant digital investment has created this need for a dedicated Data Migration Consultant. This is a unique opportunity to work with a genuine innovator. An industry leader with a steady string of recognised "firsts" to their name.Were looking for a skilled consultant who can own data migration end-to-end, working with enterprise customers to migrate data from legacy systems into new platforms for use with state of the art first party applications in the cloud.Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Architects, Consultants, Developers etc on enterprise scale projects, with ownership and responsibility for data migration, working closely with customers throughout the entire data migration lifecycle.
  • Full end-to-end management and execution of enterprise scale data migrations of new and existing clients from legacy systems to Dynamics 365 (typically running 2-3 major projects concurrently).
  • Managing a range of workshops throughout the migration process including requirements gathering, migration planning, client training, proof of concept etc.
  • Extracting Transforming and Loading data from legacy systems while maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity is upheld.

    • Required skills and experience;
  • Experience with a sound understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong skills and experience in data best-practices; spanning Migration, Architecture, MDM, Quality, Governance etc
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS & ETL protocols and tools.
  • A track record of managing end-to-end data migrations working consultatively with customers from the requirement gathering stage through to test and deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with self-motivation to continuously learn new technologies.
  • A passion to work with cloud native data services (Azure Factory) and to share knowledge and experience with customers and internally.
  • Ideally experience of Azure Dev Ops or similar tools
