For more information visit www.worldcourier.comPosition SummaryDue to continued growth, World Courier is recruiting for the Driver for urgent pharmaceutical logistics, to join our busy Transport team, based in Manchester.Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day between 07:00 – 07:30pm rotating weekly. Flexibility required to work overtime from time to time for urgent deliveries and collection. Weekend coverage once a month s (paid as overtime)Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver goods as requested throughout the UK
  • Ensure required paperwork is completed by customer/consignee.
  • Use initiative and anticipate problems that may occur with deliveries.
  • Keep Dispatch Officer informed of progress of deliveries and any delays.
  • Drive safely and take care of company vehicles.
  • Make up boxes for shipments as required.
  • Monitor packaging materials and advise Operations Supervisor when stock is running low.
  • Work periodic weekends as rostered.
  • Maintain abundant stock of packaging materials and labels
What your background should look likeCandidate Requirements:
  • Current drivers license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Good knowledge of the UK road networks
  • Pleasant & proactive manner with customers.
  • Good knowledge of cold chain management and basic DG
  • Sense of urgency balanced by meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate problems that may occur with deliveries.
  • Initiative and common sense.
  • Reliable and accountable.
  • Customer focus, ability to deliver +1 service.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
What we offer:
  • Basic Salary: £24,475.96 per annum
  • Shift Allowance: £750 per annum
  • Annual Bonus Plan: 5% ABP
