A leading online system provider for fostering and adoption agencies has an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer / .NET Applications Developer to join their team based in Manchester, UK.They provide a unique, ground-breaking CHARMS, secure, online system to 80% of fostering and adoption agencies in the UK and Ireland - and now Arizona, USA. The business has expanded through 2018/19 and is currently working on a number of important projects for 2020 and beyond, including establishing a base in Phoenix AZ.Given the highly sensitive nature of the data that they look after, their team and their CHARMS system have been built with security at the front of everything they do. Some 40,000+ users access CHARMS to keep childrens, foster carers, adopters and care workers records safe.This opportunity is perfect for individuals who are looking to make a mark. It is not just about programming, its programming with a security imperative - and with an immediate impact on social care.About the role:As their .NET Developer, you will be expected to bring your experience to an established team of other Junior / Senior Web Developers. They are backed by a Technical Director, Infrastructure Manager and Solutions Architect with some 70 years of experience between them.You will be working on ground-breaking developments to enable all stakeholders in the care sector to communicate and share sensitive information securely and quickly and you will be recommending technology improvements in collaboration with the Solutions Architect.They are looking for someone with a high degree of commercial development experience and with the maturity to understand that data subjects come first. They are the guardians of data and always put the needs of the data subjects and owners at the forefront of everything they do.A strong background in .Net Web development is important as is a good knowledge of Classic ASP (yes, they still have some of that but it will all soon be gone).Responsibilities:
