Domestic Cleaning SupervisorNorth Manchester General Hospital - M8 5RBManchester University NHS Foundation TrustBand 3 - £12.45/hr (Weekdays) - £16.80/hr (Saturdays) - £21.03/hr (Sundays)37.5 hours per week - Shift times 08.00-16.00 / 09.00-17.00 / 10.00-19.00 Flexibility is essential - Working any 5 days from 7 a week as required.Car parking available but rates apply.   • Assist the Deputy facilities manager effectively manage the housekeeping department, providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.
  • Maintain and improve the standard of the overall environment and services within the Department.
  • Together with the Team Leaders they will ensure that, Patient, staff environments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, and that the services to patients and staff provided via the department are provided effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide effective senior support to a group of staff and will require the appropriate people, co-ordination, communication and collaborative skills to undertake this task effectively.
  • Work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service and the department, which operates on multiple sites on a 7 day a week, 365 days a year basis.
The skills required are:
  • Experience of managing staff in a team leader or supervisory role is essential.
  • You must be a motivated and enthusiastic person with the necessary skills to support and effectively Supervise a large bank of Domestics.
  • The post holder will require knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH and Infection Prevention strategies relating to standards of hospital cleanliness such as Personal Protective Equipment and Colour Coding
  • Good level of IT skills
  • Cleaning experience
