Job Description

A unique opportunity to lead and develop the M&A / Corporate Finance Practice offering for an established independent Advisory firm. Further career progression to Partner is available.THE COMPANYAn established and renowned small and mid-market M&A / Corporate Finance practice with a proven track record in handling M&A (sell-side and buy-side), MBO / VIMBO and Fund Raising transactions up to c.£50m EV.THE OPPORTUNITYA unique opportunity to join an established M&A / Corporate Finance Practice and play a key role in executing a broad range of small and mid-market transactions and driving the future growth of the firm. Corporate Finance deal work will involve acting on behalf of Entrepreneurs, SMEs and Mid-Market Corporates seeking sale / exit and growth through acquisitions or PE buyout / Trade sale.As a senior member of a small experienced team you will have the opportunity to act as Lead Advisor on deals and to develop your profile and reputation within the North West business community. Ultimately your progression to Partner will be as a result of your skills in executing transactions and originating and generating deal work.As Director your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the execution of all transaction work, supporting Partners with the continued growth of the practice
  • Continuing to develop the firms reputation and brand as a small and mid-market M&A / Corporate Finance Advisor within the wider firms client base and the Manchester professional business community
  • Managing and leading a team of Executives responsible for the preparation of Information Memorandums, due diligence processes, forecasts / projections and financial models
  • Acting as Lead Advisor on transactions (£5m - £50m EV), leading meetings with Clients and Funders, lead advisory negotiations and handling SPA, Heads of Terms and completions

    • THE PERSONYou will be an ambitious M&A / Corporate Finance Professional able to demonstrate the following:
  • ACA Qualified Accountant or CFA Qualified Corporate Finance Professional
  • Several years M&A / Corporate Finance experience (c.5 - 7 years minimum)
  • A strong desire to strengthen your experience in leading and executing transactions, originating deal opportunities and to progress to Partner
