Job Description

Job ProfileWe are currently seeking a qualified Dietetian with strong operational experience to join the team of an established and growing firm in Yorkshire. The role will require travel between the organisations Leeds and Manchester sites.Acting as the Dietetic Lead you will provide the national business with clinical governance, specific client support, supervision, content generation and service innovation. You will be responsible for overseeing the dietetic elements of the organisations Greater Manchester Weight Management Services.This privately owned organisation provide a variety of health and wellness services from brief intervention to more specialist weight management services (tier 3). Their services are all under-pinned by psychologically informed behaviour change curriculums and all clients accessing services are encouraged to maintain long-term healthy behaviour changes via the active maintainance programme.Overview on duties and responsibilities

  • Working as a key member of the clinical team ensuring business wide clinical governance and leadership.
  • Providing oversight of all aspects of dietetics and nutrition delivery (colleagues and resources) across the business
  • Supporting the development of the digital strategy through the provision of innovative primarily client focused support.
  • Actively lead the dietetic elements of the Tier 3 Weight Management Programme, from Assessment to Discharge
  • Actively support service practitioners to work to curriculums, evidence-based practice and to support service innovation.
  • As part of the Multi-Disciplinary team support selected clients that required specific dietetic support, including those on the bariatric pathway
  • Provide line management to the nutritionists within the service including supervision and regular HR processes
  • Ensure that our approach is tailored to meet the needs of all individuals, particularly those from groups at risk of health inequalities
  • Working closely with clinical colleagues to support training and development for all delivery staff.
  • Undertake quality visits across programmes to ensure that standards are being adhered to.
  • To maintain adequate CPD, receive regular clinical supervision in accordance with good practice guidelines and continue to meet HCPC registration requirements.
  • Work in a highly autonomous manner, being responsible for appropriately managing clinical risk when it arises during clinical practice, while having recourse to other professionals for guidance
  • Overview on expertise and skill set sought
  • Minimum 2 years relevent experience of working with individuals to change health related behaviours
  • Relevant qualification in dietetics and registration with the HCPC as a dietitian
  • Relevant operational and strategic management experience in Public Health or Health & Social Care
  • Experience in programme evaluation and service improvement
  • Experience of working in partnership with a range of organisations, particularly those in the public sector
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience of building professional relationships, contract negotiation and working in partnership with other providers
  • Excellent IT Literacy to include advance use of MS Office
  • Confident public speaker
  • Knowledge of public health models and approaches in changing behaviour
  • Passion and enthusiasm for supporting families to have a healthier lifestyle
