Our client, a dynamic, entrepreneurial company that is experiencing a prolonged period of growth and expansion, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their fast paced IT Team of Infrastructure Engineers and Software DevelopersWorking within an environment that is focused on looking for opportunities to learn, build skills and share learning, you will look to own key operational systems and continually advance processes, procedures and documentation, whilst also coaching other members of the team in your specialist areasThe successful candidate should ideally hold the following:• 5+ years Enterprise Linux administration• Experience with Open source management tools, i.e Puppet, Nagios, Cacti, GIT• Good knowledge of Linux Services, i.e. Nginx, Samba, NFS, Postfix• Good working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL)• Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPTables and networking technologies• Proven commercial experience of software development using Java• Experience developing and using web services• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsPreferable Skills• VMWarevSphere, KVM• REST & Message Queues• Spring, Hibernate and Maven• Exposure to other programming languages such as Python, Perl and PHP• Cloud technology experience with AWS• Experience in using NoSQL databases, Redis, CouchDBetc• Knowledge of JavaScript plus either React.js or Vue.js• Data Centre management, server racking, network patching• Exposure to Mitel 5000, Asterisk, OpenSIPS.Offering high levels of autonomy, the role would suit a dynamic, ambitious self starter who has exceptional communication skills and is seeking a challenging but rewarding environment, with genuine potential for progression
