Development ChemistSynthesis Chemistry Manchester Permanent role Immediate / ASAP start We `re working with a leading service provider who work across drug development and commercialisation activities in fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Our client is involved in the early and late phase process optimisation of non-GMP intermediates, as wellas working as a Contract Research Organisation which provides chemical synthesis and analysis services externally. This specific role will be working in synthetic chemistry, in the chemical research and development (R&D) laboratory.What youll do This role will undertake chemical projects, involving practical organic chemistry working closely with Project Leaders and Team Leaders. You will be responsible for carrying out synthetic chemistry and then maintaining accurate records of this work, interpretingresults and resolving any difficulties encountered in the synthesis.You will be working on technology transfer, internal transfer to production, liaising with Quality Control to plan analysis for projects, and producing assistance to departments internal and external on any problem solving. The job will require you to keepup to date with reading around current practices and scientific progress pertinent to chemistry,Your background You will be qualified in chemistry to degree level and we are seeking someone with experience of carrying out the above activities in industry. This can be from a year in industry while studying for BSc/MChem and experience above this is naturally also welcome.We are keen to find someone who operates well in a team environment, communicating well and maintaining their own knowledge in chemistry to drive solutions to chemical problems.On this occasion, LiCa Scientific is acting as an employment agency.
