Acorn Recruitment are searching for a Development Chemist to join our client, a global chemical manufacturer based in Manchester.Working in a small team, the purpose of the role is to develop both existing and new pressroom chemical formulations.Duties will include:* Formulation of chemicals.* Liaising with other departments within the company* Ensuring that workplace health and safety requirements are met.* Managing and prioritising the daily workload.* Any other related duties as and when requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to degree or equivalent level in Chemistry or a related subject. Prior formulating experience is essential in a similar industry, pressroom chemicals, inks or coatings. Knowledge of the Lithographic process would be advantageous. Candidates with experience in an industry developing industrial cleaning products, detergents, surfactants, degreasers or solvents may be suitable.Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with a degree of flexibility.Salary on offer is dependent on experience to offer.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
