We are currently looking for a despatch leader based in Manchester.............Main Duties:Manage the shipment of product and spares, including liaising with freight forwarders & office staff and the generation and control of shipping documentationMaintain department performance to Known Consignor security requirementsManage despatch operators to achieve business targets and customer commitmentsParticipate in daily production meetingsSupport external collections with key suppliers where requiredEnsure compliance with all health, safety and environmental rulesCoordinate necessary training and audits for Known Consignor/CT-PAT and equipment such as FLT, cranes and packing equipmentCoordinate and lead local 5S activity to promote a safe, defect-free and visual workplaceCoordinate and lead Continuous Improvement activity as requiredUndertake the completion of relevant administration tasks, including:
