This company have been well established for over 20 years and have grown to a team of 130 people across the business. They source and supply the UK with their own well-known household FMCG brands. They are looking for an additional Packaging Designer to join their in-house studio in the heart of Manchester.As Packaging Designer you’ll produce innovative design concepts and will be responsible for artworking your own jobs. You’ll create mock-ups and manipulate images and will develop technical aspects of the creative handling cutter guides and generating barcodes.You’ll create new design ranges and adapt or add to existing ranges adhering to brand guidelines. You’ll get involved with logo development for new brand identities, so we’d like to see some examples in your work in addition to packaging.You’ll be happy working on other print projects including catalogues, promotional material including customer and brand presentations and will assist with imagery used for social and digital.What we’re looking for:You must have experience in graphic and packaging design, ideally in an FMCG environment, either in-house or within an agency. You’ll have a creative approach to all challenges, however you’ll need to be happy in artworking your own designs.Joining a small team of 6 in the studio you’ll be a key part of the team, so in addition to your design experience you’ll be able to cope with a fast pace of work. You’ll be highly organised and be able to work under your own initiative in addition to taking direction and constructive critic if necessary.Culture fit is key and as important to a strong portfolio, so a positive, reliable attitude is required.Although currently working remotely the team do plan to be back in their lovely, trendy offices once the restrictions are lifted.
