Full time 37.5 hours, Flexible working hoursHybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)Permanent£40,000 - £60000+Our client, based in Manchester City Centre - a Heritage and Conservation Architectural Company are looking for an experienced Project Delivery Leader/ Design Manager at Associate level. Youll work on prestigious Manchester Town Hall Project. We are looking for a proactive project delivery leader, with 10+ years of architectural design and delivery experience in the UK, ideally in projects over £25m.MAIN DUTIES

• Project leadership at RIBA Stage 5 delivery stages, working collaboratively with clients and consultants, and leading enthusiastic and talented teams.
• Manage the design process, promote the integration of disciplines, and manage both the internal team as well as the wider Design Team consultants
• Direct interface with the Management Contractor (Lendlease), Client (Manchester City Council) and their projects managers (Mace)
• Overview, monitor and report on design programmes, and provide technical support to the design and delivery process
• Manage, deliver and be accountable for design and construction information release
• Day-to-day design management of deliverables including managing internal team and consultants
• Provide regular progress reports summarising progress to date, specifying any decisions or authorisations required
• Manage resources to ensure deliverables and programme are met
• Maintain and monitor progress against agreed Schedule, integrated design programme that identifies design information release etc.
• Chair internal team meetings and issue actions
• Manage the design process to meet all statutory and regulatory approvals
• Support the team in the early warning procedure and risk reduction process, support in the development of change control

REQUIREMENTS

• Construction professional 10+ years of architectural design management and delivery experience in the UK
• Project management and design management experience
• Previous experience of design and delivery of large complex projects through RIBA Stages 4 & 5
• Previous experience of heritage projects through design and construction stages an advantage
• Experience of taking responsibility for the financial success of projects, and strong commercial awareness
• Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, effective client and consultant relationship skills and ability to collaboratively work with diverse teams
• Ability to manage multiple packages and multiple deadlines
• Proficiency in BIM/ Revit an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other programming tool an advantage
