Design and Technical LeadSalary: Circa £60,000Job Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation: South ManchesterBenefits: Competitive pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans for public transport plus much more.Reporting to the Head of Post Contract Development, the Design and Technical Lead will Leads key responsibility, as an essential member of the team, is to support delivery of the organisations growth ambitions as articulated by the Affordable Developmentstrategy. The role has responsibility for leading the design ambition, and ensuring technical compliance of all new homes delivered through the programme. The role will take a lead on modernising construction and changes required to enable progress to netzero carbon delivery. The role will manage the Clerk of Works team.About You:Although not essential for a successful application, it would be desirable to hold a degree level qualification, as well as any relevant professional memberships. You will need a minimum of five years experience in a property development background.You have detailed knowledge of construction regulations, as well as experience of working with employers requirements and developing standard house types. Additionally, you will have experience of and interest in the net zero carbon agenda and high qualitydesign.Youve got detailed knowledge of the planning system and property development process, alongside a commitment to providing excellent line management for others. You have knowledge of operating environments, changing market conditions, contract procurement andcontract management.Youre able to work within a prescribed framework but can also think creatively to resolve problems. You have good verbal and written communication skills and are able to develop great Places profile with a variety of partners. You are a proven relationshipbuilder and influencer with stakeholders, with the added ability to liaise with other departments to ensure delivery of wider corporate goals.Youre self-sufficient in terms of administration, preparing letters and reports, accurate filing and so on.
