Job Description

Deputy Payroll ManagerOur client is a charity looking for a strong and experienced end to end Payroll professional to join as a Deputy Payroll Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to oversee a small and friendly team. Reporting into the Payroll Manager you will be responsiblefor handling hands on payroll, the team and providing technical support and guidance.This role would be ideal for someone looking for team management experience and the next step in their career.Responsibilities

  • Must have the ability to manage remotely
  • Leading a team
  • Maternity cover for 12 months to support the payroll manager
  • Hands on with the day-to-day payroll
  • Deal sensitively with employee queries
  • One to ones
  • Co-ordinating the payroll team, as well as overseeing monthly teams tasks
Requirements
  • Hands on Payroll Professional
  • End to end Payroll through to BACS
  • 4000-person headcount - All monthly payroll
  • Manage a team of three payroll officers
  • Actively processing payroll
  • Handling complex queries
  • Fully competent with all year end activity
  • Autoenrollment
  • Strategic experience
  • The ability to perform complex manual payroll calculations
  • Good working knowledge of current payroll legislation
  • ITRENT
