Job Description

  • Lead the HR and OD functions, ensuring that at all times an efficient and effective service is provided to the organisation, benchmarking its performance against industry/sector standards.
  • Provide comprehensive HR advice on complex HR issues to ensure the Trust complies with legislation and other guidance.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the Heads of HR and OD to ensure they are able to effectively lead their teams and deliver on agreed outcomes.
  • Manage the financial budgets for the HR and OD functions ensuring value for money and cost-effective services are provided.
  • Co-ordinate the roll-out of workforce policies and training to ensure that all staff and managers across the Trust are aware of their role and able to deliver good people management practice.
Youll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Senior Management level experience, working in Organisational Development and HR
  • Demonstrable experience and proven ability of running major change management projects
  • Proven experience of leading an HR/OD service and providing advice on a range of complex issues
