Job Description

Harriet Ellis is a private Training Organisation specialising in Dental Nursing and we are looking for a qualified IQA to work from home to assist with our Dental Nursing Apprentices. You will be working from home on a self employed basis and full and part time is considered.Purpose and Objectives of Role:The Internal Quality Assurer will be responsible for the summative and formative internal verification of work-based learners, ensuring they all meet the required standards and achievement is timely.Specific duties of the role:

  • Verify assessment decisions, manage the quality of delivery according to national standards, and ensure all assessment needs of candidates are met.
  • Identify and address learning and development needs of assessors, including realistic target dates for the achievement of TAQA units for unqualified assessors.
  • Ensure assessors receive an appropriate level of induction to Harriet Ellis Training and regular communication to provide support and assistance in the delivery of training.
  • Ensure all assessors comply with the company policies, procedures, and deliver all training according to the national standards.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and follow the sampling strategy to include formative and summative sampling.
  • Carry out regular employer and learner interviews and assessor observations and evaluate findings with the QAM to support and improve performances.
  • Update records to monitor assessment practices and maintain standardisation of assessment judgment to ensure assessors make valid decisions and carry out fair candidate assessments.
  • Manage the Harriet Ellis quality assurance files, ensure regular assessments are carried out and recorded, and all records kept up to date.
  • Ensure the full embedding of all Equal Opportunities Policies and Health & Safety requirements (including Safeguarding) are complied with, and all candidates are given fair access to the assessment.
  • In the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager, liaise with External Verifiers to arrange and prepare data for EV visits and follow-up of action plans within specified timescales.
  • Attend standardisation meetings.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance Manager on improvements to enhance the programme and maintain accurate and legible records for inspection purposes.
