The future is bright, the future is data…. the amount of data available from Internet of things (IoT) devices such as machines, sensors and cameras are expected to rise from 33 zettabytes (ZB) in 2018 to 133 zettabytes (ZB) in 2025 - an annual growth rate of 61%. It is expected that a person will have one data interaction every 18 seconds! Responsibilites:

  • You will be an innovator at the epicentre of the digital revolution in Enterprise Data as we begin our journey to the Cloud
  • Pioneer the central digital nervous system which connects all our systems and applications together from all areas of our organisation
  • Build, inspire and lead high performing, self-organising and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Servant-leader who will champion cultural changes including adoption of Agile tooling e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc and practices e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Huge LeSS etc
  • An industry expert who can provide thought leadership in the world of data processing while being a catalyst for change through challenging the status quo
  • A chic-geek who appreciates data processing technologies and framework such as ETL, ELT, Integration and processing in Hybrid Cloud environment, Cloud Computing, AI, and Machine Learning
  • Youll champion the LBG values andbehavioursand be committed to ensuring LBG achieves its goal of being the best bank for customers.
    • Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Agile experience
  • High proficiency in the value of ETL/ELT technologies and development implementation of technologies including IBM DataStage, AB-Initio, Big Data (Hadoop), Kafka, Storm, Spark
  • Awareness of Data Management especially Metadata Driven Delivery
  • Awareness of relational and NoSQL technologies such as Teradata, HBase, Mongo, PostgreSQL Cassandra, Google Cloud Spanner and Cockroach DB etc
  • Awareness of open-source technologies and development implementation of technologies including Big Data (Hadoop), Kafka, KSQL, Storm, Spark, Kafka Streams
  • High proficiency in the value of open-source technologies and development implementation of technologies including Big Data (Hadoop), Kafka, KSQL, Storm, Spark, Kafka Streams
  • Familiar with concepts such as "Infrastructure As Code" using technology such as Terraform and Chef as well as knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Knative, Istio and Helm
    • You will have a background with:
  • Adept with undertaking market research and mapping our user journeys
  • Product Ownership experience which has involved using real-time data processing at scale, ideally within Banking & Financial Services
  • Proficient in building product visions, strategies, and roadmaps
  • Servant-leader mind-set who can coach and mentor junior colleagues
  • Enterprise Architecture or Systems Thinking experience - building product visions in an Agile environment
  • Service Design and Process Optimisations experience
  • Consultancy experience or background - be able to influence at C level
  • Accounting experience with strong fiscal and budgetary discipline
