Job Description

DATA MANAGER HYBRID (Travel to office required once per month) Up to £60,000This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of an ambitious data strategy. This company is looking for a pragmatic and driven individual, with financial sector experience, to lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee the transitionfrom tactical on-premise data practices to the strategic use of a cloud-hosted data lake.THE COMPANYA market-leading financial services company striving to pursue its commitment to corporate social responsibility. Operating within a data-driven environment, they seek to offer a premium customer experience and contribute positively to the wider communitiesin which they operate.THE ROLEYou will:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team, comprised of data analysts, BI analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.
  • Oversee the transition from tactical on-premise data practices to the strategic use of a cloud-hosted data lake.
  • Interact and guide decisions with multiple stakeholders across the business.
  • Be responsible for the Data management lifecycle.
  • Play a critical role in the implementation of effective data governance and data quality procedures.
  • Infuse data culture in the organization.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCETo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Financial sector experience.
  • Previous exposure to Azure Cloud, Datalake, and data modelling concepts.
  • Extensive experience mentoring and building team capabilities, as well as managing offshore resources.
  • The ability to use data visualisation tools, such as Power BI.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business (both technical and non-technical).
