Are you a Data Architect with experience of data migrations from on-prem platforms to the cloud Perhaps youve taken the lead on the data design and strategic implementation of an end to end data roadmap within a Financial Services environment before, and youre looking to carry over your technical know-how into a multinational, large-scale environment If this sounds of appeal, please read on…My client, a publicly listed, multinational financial services organisation based in Manchester seek a Data Architect that has played a major role in on-prem to cloud migrations, with experience in Azure and Snowflake, in a large-scale environment. This role will sit as a senior key member of the group-wide, international, Data function. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, negotiating with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.Key Responsibilities: - To play a leading role in the design and successful delivery of a group-wide initiative to migrate from on-prem data platforms to the cloud using both Azure technologies and Snowflake. - Working strategically with different group-wide departments that will span: IT, Finance, Operations and the senior leadership team, to create a sustainable road-map for the data strategy. - Design, develop and implement data flows in SQL Server, Snowflake and Azure technologies (Data Lake, Data Factory etc) - Acting as a senior member of the data engineering team, playing an advisory role when collaborating with data engineers/analysts.Key Requirements: - Minimum two years experience as a Data Architect. - A Bachelors degree in a tech-related subject/STEM- Exceptional practical knowledge of relational databases (namely SQL Server) - Fantastic interpersonal and negotiation skills with figures across the organisation, specifically when dealing with non-technical senior stakeholders to achieve a common commercial outcome. - Demonstrable experience in delivering group-wide, large scale data migrations from on-prem to cloud (preferably Azure) - Experience in CI/CDIf youre a Data Architect looking for a new role with an exciting Financial Services organisation based in Manchester, get in touch today!
