Job Description

Our client are fast growing digital business.Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Digital Analyst to join the team.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesCustomer & Data Intelligence

  • Be the custodian of the digital data agenda ensuring a customer-centric marketing and optimisation focus is adopted cross-channel at every turn tracking performance against forecast and year-on-year
  • Drive deeper insight into digital marketing channels inclusive of a category and feed perspective to supplement the strategic growth agendas of third party agencies across PPC and SEO campaigns
  • Enhance digital CRM insights and analytics to drive customer retention and reactivation across online channels through data-led testing strategies
  • Leverage data threads to deliver funnel analysis and provide insight on audience behaviour, to unearth and inform new opportunities across all ecommerce trading and category zones inclusive of but not limited to search, sorting rules, product recommendations, PLPs
  • Continually review, interrogate and refine customer journey and campaign performance to maximise payback and development to lifetime customer, inclusive of but not limited to platforms, devices, usability, UX and user journey; ensuring online and offline journeys are consistent and complementary
  • Collaborate with internal and external sources to evolve and develop models, methodologies, tools and techniques to improve accuracy of insight across all territories in a digital era giving consideration to contactable and non-contactable audiences
  • Manage website tagging requirements with internal development team to inform analysis
  • Customer Journey & Data Understanding
  • Analyse web traffic and key metrics / drivers to deliver recommendations and actionable insights on ways to further improve the site
  • Support conversion optimisation efforts through ideation, consultancies and testing strategies borne from actionable, data-driven recommendations to enhance end-to-end customer journey and experience funnel underpinned by set-up, tracking and in-depth, segmented reporting
  • Explore, interpret and interrogate customer propensity to maximise conversion to sale across all digital platforms and channels mapping offsite to onsite journey
  • Leverage data intelligence to proactively identify pain points across platforms whereby enhancements can lead to marginal and/or significant gains in conversion and ROI such as browsers, devices, pages
  • Digital Analysis Platforms
  • Identify ways to improve analytical procedures to improve agility and efficiency through the automation of marketing reports
  • To be the primary product owner of all digital analysis platforms demonstrating a full understanding of metrics inclusive of but not limited to site analytics (ideally Google Analytics, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Firebase or similar), site data manipulation (Supermetrics) and other associated digital tech platforms (ideally Bazaarvoice, Emarsys, Google Adwords, Facebook, Conversant or similar tech platforms)
  • Demonstrate commercial appreciation of how such external analytical platform metrics equate, marry and conflict within internal systems, with the ability to fully submerge into and translate the data from the range of sources into simple business clarity and understanding through management reporting
  • Liaise with Analyst peers to integrate digital analytics with trading and customer insights and manipulation adopting SQL and drawing data from business warehouse
  • Marketing Management & Analytics
  • Create, identify and track data trends across online landscape in order to set ecommerce benchmarks and KPIs
  • Champion analytics best practise, relevant measures and effective communication of information; develop methodologies and vision in reporting
  • To ensure the manipulation of adhoc analysis and results into relevant scenarios, model business cases and comparative measures to move towards conclusion and recommendation
  • Continually review and develop processes for analysis and insight, pioneering improvements
  • Maintain current and new systems to ensure delivery of accurate information
  • To utilise operational and marketing systems to interrogate and deliver actionable insight
  • Identify gaps in the current data capture strategy to create an improvements roadmap and collaboratively implement enhancements
  • Maintain and support data integrity and validation through management of all analytics and digital measurement tools
  • Maintain market awareness of status quo and industry best practise to develop analysis techniques
  • Utilise different analytical techniques incorporating visualisation and reporting to bring analysis to life - Data Story Telling
  • Demonstrate confidence in working with large datasets with the ability to turn data into insight
  • A good understanding of data manipulation tools (such as SQL)
  • Robustly adopt and deploy statistical techniques to evaluate test robustness and levels of confidence
