Job Description

Cyber Security EngineerLeading FintechTop 100 Tech Growth CompanyA great opportunity for an ambitious Cyber Security Engineer to join a rapidly growing technology team who are undertaking a major transformation project, transforming their application estate into a service-based architecture, based on modern cloud based services.INTRO.....A key role, working closely with the CISO, you will form part of the Security Architecture, Engineering and Governance team responsible for all aspects of security architecture and design including:

  • Threat Intelligence
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Endpoint Security
  • Network Security
  • Cloud Security
  • Email Security
    • You will lead and develop security engineering initiatives across multiple teams, help build and establish a collaborative security presence in the Mcr Hub and fully support the growing product teams. A hands on engineer you will deliver automation and maintenance for key security services and continue to improve overall cyber security by improving the ability to prevent, detect, identify and respond to critical events.In summary you will:
  • Ensure all security platforms are effective (e.g. SIEM, PAM, Detect and Response etc.)
  • Ensure the integrity of security infrastructure, network and systems design to evaluate and ensure system/network security.
  • Introduce SIEM tools such as Splunk, ArcSight and/or Solarwinds
  • Assist in evaluations and POCs for security vendors, tools, and services.
  • Perform detailed technical security reviews of new systems or architectures.
  • Identify security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives.
  • Perform and evaluate regular internal and external vulnerability scans within a multi-platform environment.
