Customer Care Officer (ID1426)Working Hours: 35 hours per weekContract Type: Full-Time, PermanentAdditional Payments: Casual Car User AllowanceClosing Date: 13 November 2023This role is subject to -Driving Licence – you must always hold a full valid driving licenceCasual Car Documentation - The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid drivinglicence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.This is an exciting opportunity to join a front line team offering customer service to funeral directors and the bereaved. The role involves all administrative tasks including booking funerals and processing legal documents in relation to burials and cremationsusing relevant IT systems. The role also involves dealing directly with bereaved families to offer advice on suitable memorial products. The Customer Care team are based at both Southern and Blackley Cemeteries and the successful candidate will be expectedto work flexibly across both sites. The role holder will be provided with a uniform by Bereavement Services.Bereavement Services provide in the region of 3,000 burial and cremation services each year in the Councils five Cemeteries and one Crematorium. The Customer Care Team provides the administrative, legislative and customer service function enabling BereavementServices to provide the highest standard of service to the bereaved.The role also involves outside work including escorting funerals to graveside and showing bereaved families around the Cemetery to assist them to select graves and suitable memorials.
