Job Description

Total Loss Advisor (Customer Account Executive)What will I be doing as a Customer Account Executive You will support the engineering and motor claims teams in negotiating and agreeing on total loss valuations on motor vehicles. Specifically, this will entail assessing damage, valuing vehicles using the recognised trade guides, and applying the correctsalvage category on cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles. Processing total loss payments and associated duties accurately and efficiently.What are the salary and hoursA competitive annual salary of £18,000 - £22,000 is on offer (depending on experience) with great company benefits. The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. This will be a mixture of work from home and the office. We support over 1,000 broker partners and more than 3 million policyholders with a wide variety of insurance products covering Home, Motor, Pet, and Travel insurance.What will I be doing day-to-day

  • Negotiation and settlement of pre-incident valuations of motor vehicles (car, bike, commercial or other specialist vehicles)
  • Processing total loss claims in accordance with claims philosophy
  • Proactively manage your own workload as you will be expected to progress claims where multi-tasking and prioritisation is key to delivering a great customer experience.
  • Perform within departmental targets, internal and external SLAs
  • Undertake other reasonable responsibilities as required

  • Ability to manage adversarial situations
  • Ability to negotiate and influence and resolve difficult conversations with customers
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads
  • Insurance claims and systems experience (desirable)
  • General knowledge and interest in motor vehicles (required)
  • General understanding of insurance principles and practices(required)
