Job Description

CRIMINAL SOLICITOR - GREATER MANCHESTER - TO £44KA criminal solicitor is required by this top 100 law firm to join its team focussing on defendant motor crime and health and safety regulatory work.Role OverviewYou will join one of the most well established regulatory teams in the country. The department deals with a mix of criminal and regulatory work representing insured individuals and companies.Predominantly you will deal with motor crime cases including dangerous and careless driving, driving under the influence and driving offences involving death. The department also deals with HSE prosecutions and you will get the opportunity to expand yourknowledge in this area.Candidate ProfileThe firm is seeking someone with the following experience/characteristics:

  • Qualified solicitor with a proven record of dealing with motor crime cases.
  • The ability to foster and maintain good client relationships. The client base is diverse and you will be acting for insured individuals and company representatives.
  • Able to attend and represent people held under caution.
  • Attend with Counsel at trial or inquests.
  • Able to form strategy for the case and deal with external legal panel lawyers to progress the case.
