Job Title: Credit Risk AnalystLocation: Hybrid in London or ManchesterSalary: Up to £40,000Benefits:

About the position of Credit Risk AnalystWe have 2 opportunities with an award-winning specialist lender who are currently growing their Credit Risk team. Its an exciting time to join and the business as they continue to grow and offer superb learning and development, advancement opportunitiesand a rewards and recognition scheme. Working to support the production and enhancement of management information and business intelligence across the business, you will use various tools and programming techniques to monitor credit performance.We are keen to hear from individuals interested in working in the specialist lending sector with programming skills, the ability to review data and create meaningful reporting.Responsibilities for the position of Credit Risk Analyst
  • Using and developing MI to monitor credit performance
  • Collate, clean and summarise data as requested and ensure accurate information is provided.
  • Provide regular insight into portfolio changes, highlighting areas of strength or weakness.
  • Stay abreast of the economic environment and market conditions and how they might affect the portfolio
  • Keep abreast of regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting, business intelligence and analytics
  • Responsible for the creation of real-time interactive dashboards, ensuring these are accessible, to allow colleagues to make appropriate, timely decisions in all areas of activity.
  • Deliver and provide ad hoc business intelligence, reporting and data.
  • Responsible for documenting processes for reports/dashboards created to ensure clarity and proper usage across the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring high standards of coding and the work produced.
  • Support junior members of the credit risk team
  • Responsible for championing good practice and promote values and culture.
  • Proactively seek self-improvement concerning technical skills, industry knowledge and analytical techniques
Experience required for the position of Credit Risk Analyst
  • Experience gained in a lending business is highly desirable however we all credit risk or data/reporting backgrounds
  • Experience of using programming tools (such as R, SQL, or equivalent).
  • Able to research new and emerging technologies and techniques and identify how to apply these to the business.
  • Self-learning and hungry for knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Either a degree or higher qualification in STEM subject, ideally with a focus on mathematics, statistics, or computer science
