Job Description

Due to significant and continued growth, we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join the Finance Team of Cargo Overseas Ltd.We are a Freight Forwarding company based next door to Wythenshawe Hospital. Our growth has been sharp and continuous over the passed 3 years and with our new digital departments starting post Brexit we are seeing further growth.What you will do each day:

  • raise statements and reminder letters monthly
  • email and phone customers to chase due and overdue invoices
  • post cheques and bank receipts
  • liaise with operations to resolve any invoice queries raised by clients
  • report to our Credit Control manager, highlighting any potential bad debts
  • agree and complete contra journals with overseas agents
  • take online card payments
    • What we would like from you:
  • 2+ years experience(ideally in Freight, Transport or Logistics - this would be advantageous)
  • be a team player and enjoy working whilst having fun
  • ability to think and work effectively without guidance
  • an understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry journals
  • good excel skills
  • be an excellent communicator
    • In addition to your annual salary we offer an objective based bonus of up to 200% monthly gross salary, auto-enrolment pension scheme and free on site parking.This is an immediate start role with interviews, offers and on-boarding all being done through MS Teams in line with the most recent government guidelines.
