In fact, the reason for this particular role is due to the internal promotionof an existing member of staff!Here you will assume control of a longstanding portfolio of clients, that could come from a range of industry sectors such as transportation & logistics, life sciences, IT & Telecoms, Construction and Retail. Your client allocation can be tweaked to suityour experience, ambitions and expertise, for example candidates from a mid-corporate background could be dealing with accounts generating £20-50K, whereas seasoned corporate veterans could inherit a number of six figure income cases with complex global exposures.Colleagues at all levels of experience will be given the chance to benefit from ongoing professional development. The company has just launched its own Training Academy which offers, if desired, a structured programme that covers a range of technical and softer-skills,and the option of your own Mentor to ensure that you achieve your career goals and personal objectivesYou will be responsible for developing a detailed knowledge of your clients businesses and the risks that they face. You will scrutinise their existing insurance arrangements and, where gaps in cover exist, develop innovative solutions to mitigate these- using the full suite of ancillary services on offer by this global broking behemoth. To aid you in the management of your portfolio, you will benefit from the assistance of a dedicated team of Corporate Account Handlers based in Manchester, as well as beingable to call on the support of specialist teams based across the globe (such as Credit Insurance or Aviation, for example). You will take the lead in the renewal process, and negotiate with underwriters to secure your clients the most comprehensive cover atcompetitive premium.Whilst it is not a prerequisite that you a currently working in the corporate arena, it is essential that you have a detailed knowledge of all common commercial covers and exposure to middle market risks generating income in excess of £10K. You must haveexcellent communication skills and be confident in your ability to build rapport with sophisticated insurance buyers (typically FDs, CFOs and Insurance Managers) as well being able to network internally with colleagues across the business.
