Job: Contract Monitor Salary: £28,226 - £31,895 (Grade 6) Hours: 36.25 per weekContract: PermanentLocation: Broadhurst House Closing Date: 8 July 2022 at 23:59Your role: -The Waste and Resources Team are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated people to join its Contract Management Team.This is an ideal opportunity for you to contribute to the Contract Management Team, supporting the GMCA Waste and Resources Team as a Contract Monitor. This role involves monitoring recycling and waste management facilities and using contract monitoring systemsto ensure the services are operating to the contracted specifications and standards.About you: -We are looking for individuals who are methodical, confident, and can communicate effectively - developing strong working relationships with the Greater Manchester Authorities, members of the GMCA and external partners.You will hold qualifications in waste management; environmental fields; or other related provisions, (or appropriate and relevant work experience in these fields).You will have your own transport and be required to travel across Greater Manchester, conducting onsite inspections at each of the contract facilities and reporting on their performance.You will have experience of working in an operational, public sector / political environment; be highly organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise your work load; and be proficient in report writing, with a strong attention to detail.About us: -As an employer, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is made up of a number of key Greater Manchester strategic functions and service providers including; Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS); Waste and Resources; Environment; Workand Skills; Research; Public Sector Reform; Police, Crime and Criminal Justice; Homelessness; the Greater Manchester Ageing Hub and the Commissioning Hub.We value the diversity of our employees and aim to recruit a workforce which reflects our diverse communities across Greater Manchester.
