Contract Delivery Manager, Project Manager - Housing - Northwest England, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, South Yorkshire areasAre you passionate about building safety, compliance, and property maintenance Do you thrive on delivering high-impact projects that make a difference in peoples lives We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Contract Delivery Manager to lead andensure the successful execution of various building safety, compliance, and investment programs.On offer is a competitive salary of up to £60,000 DOE, Generous Pension, Healthcare, Holidays and Flexitime up to 13 days per year, plus additional benefits.Hybrid working available and use of regional hub offices throughout Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and South Yorkshire. Therefore, we are interested in speaking to qualified candidates in any of these geographical areas.Below is a comprehensive job description - we are looking for an experienced client-side Project Manager to oversee remedial and refurbishment projects, primarily focused on Fire Safety within High Rise Apartment blocks. Previous experience in a similarrole is essential, along with a proven track record of delivery.Key Responsibilities:* Spearhead the investigation and risk appraisal process, identifying projects requiring remedial works such as latent defects and external wall cladding systems.* Manage a team of external consultants and contractors, ensuring the implementation of effective mitigation and permanent remedial solutions.* Lead the procurement, commissioning, and quality assurance of capital investment and maintenance programs, covering diverse areas like external wall systems, fire safety, and compliance-related investments.* Ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations, Building Safety Act, and industry best practices.* Adopt efficient approaches to program planning, financial management, and governance reporting.* Collaborate with consultants and contractors to recover costs or agree on required works for buildings with latent construction defects and external wall remediation requirements.* Maintain strict adherence to CDM 2015 and health & safety requirements throughout project lifecycles.* Foster positive customer and stakeholder engagement to support successful project delivery.Key Requirements:* Educated to HNC/D (NVQ Level 4) in a relevant discipline, preferably in surveying, building, construction, or fire safety.* Professional qualifications in relevant surveying, construction, or fire safety disciplines (e.g., RICS, CIOB, AFSM, RIBA, CABE, IFSM, IFE or equivalent).* Strong understanding of building, fire, and structural safety considerations, backed by related training and qualifications.* SMSTS qualification for effective project management.* UK Driving LicenceEssential Experience:* Extensive experience in investigating building failures and devising interim and permanent remedial specifications.* Proven track record of commissioning, project managing, and quality assuring property-related consultants and contractors.* Deep expertise in procuring and contract managing large-scale investment and maintenance works within the housing sector.* Comprehensive knowledge of building, fire, and structural safety regulations, including fire risk appraisals of external walls.* Familiarity with building/construction contracts and associated administration.* Successful implementation of projects in compliance with CDM 2015 and other H&S legislation.If you are ready to take on this crucial role and make a significant impact in the housing industry, apply now!Morgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
