Job Description

Remote working role for a senior content copywriter, to join a content agency with an enthusiastic and fun team, communicating largely through online platforms. Long standing and diverse client base, varied work across multiple platforms and channels. Position is due to continued growth.The RoleThe Senior Content Writer will work predominantly with the MD of the business and also two other copywriters. The role will see you- Listening to or viewing clients episodic podcasts or youtube videos, and repurposing the content into written blogs, web copy, emails, downloads, social posts, print and more to maximise reach- Liaising with and often guiding clients, in order to provide them with most appropriate content channels and reach, that will have a real commercial impact- Overseeing the output of the more junior members of the team, to ensure client brand tone of voice, and platform appropriate approach is being upheld, and managing their performance and development.The PersonWhilst this role is very much copywriting centric, there is very much a need here for experience of not only working across multiple channels, but also understanding of how to get the best out of content. The role may be well suited to people in roles such as Content Manager, Copy Manager, as well as, of course, Senior Copywriter. Furthermore, if you have a personal interest in consuming podcast or video content, and enjoy seeing the impact of well managed content, then this role should appeal. The right person should come with some or all of the following- Excellent skills in writing, well versed in tailoring tone of voice, and crafting copy to work best with each of a range of long form and short form platforms and channels.- Exceptional eye for details, meticulous in your approach to proof-reading copy for quality control purposes- Comfortable working with both clients and direct reports to ensure that what is required, and what is delivered, not only match up, but provide the desired results- Excellent self motivation and time management skills. Remote working requires top level organisation and communication. Given the leadership nature of this role, it is important to lead by example- Ideally experience with tools such as Trello, Slack, Zoom, Gsuite, Active Campaign, LastPass- Minimum of 6 years experience and an appropriate high level Writing or English qualificationThe CompanyEstablished in 2016, this company has carved a real niche for turning clients episodic podcasts or videos, into an effective marketing campaign of content that runs immediately following each and every episode. The Senior Content Writer will be joining a fun and lively team, whos commitment to doing a great job, every time, is second to none. This role is a newly created position, which has come about due to continued growth and is expected to play a critical role in the companys future success. As such there is a wish to find someone who wants to develop a long term relationship with them, and enjoy a commitment to personal career advancement along the way.The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-6, though there is some flexibility. Furthermore the role is home-based, though when restrictions ease up, there will be a return to periodic team meetings in person. As such living in or around the Northwest would be an advantage, but is not essential as long as you are prepared to make the trip as required. Required skills
