Job Description

We are based across the North, with offices in Manchester and have colleagues working within local transport bodies across the North. We arenow established as a regional centre of excellence for strategic transport planning.Our role is to add strategic value by ensuring that funding and strategy decisions about transport in the North are informed by local knowledge and requirements.Our vision is of a thriving North of England, where modern transport connections drive economic growth and support an excellent quality of life.Our client jointly manages the Northern and TransPennine Express rail contacts (through the Rail North Partnership) and is a Statutory Partner on rail investment in the North of England and makes advice to the Secretary of State on investment plans.Role overview: As Connected Mobility Manager you will lead on the co-ordination of digital and mobility initiatives in the context of our clients members aspirations and national policy andact as a leading technical expert for a service within TfN, providing advice and expertise internally on technical matters, in order to develop capacity and capability within TfN and partner organisations in the North of England.Initiatives included within the role include customer-focused multi-modal, fares, payment and information services.What were looking for:Educated to degree level of equivalent with extensive post graduate experience in the mobility and digital technical area; the successful candidate will have significant experience in approaches to the design of ticketing, information and payment servicesand a proven track record in delivery level for major digital transformation programmes within a similar working environment.You will also have experience of managing a service area, ensuring the capabilities and business change activities deliver the anticipatedoutcomes.
