Job Description

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Analyst to join a Risk & Compliance department within a thriving law firm based in Manchester City Centre.The ideal candidate will have a proactive, methodical approach and the enthusiasm to drive projects forward. They also must have experience of working in a regulatory, legal or AML environment.Duties will include:

  • Provide assistance across the firm in relation to queries and to provide guidance to fee earners with knowledge and understanding of AML legislation and practices
  • Supporting the partners of the risk & compliance team in a variety of day-to-day tasks and handling all relevant queries
  • Maintain and improve the firmwide AML risk assessment, policy controls and procedures (PCPs).
  • Providing assistance in relation to dealing with data protection for the firm, such as data breaches and subject access requests, with the support of the data & risk lawyer
  • Liaising with the client services and other central teams as part of implementing AML PCPs.
  • Updating central registers, including logging internal breaches.
  • Assisting in preparation for external assessments, such as Lexcel and CQS.
  • Acting as the team’s representative in meetings and initiatives regarding the intranet.
