You will have overall responsibility for the performance of community and own all areas of the business such as lettings,resident services, maintenance services, tenancy administration, financial performance, compliance.As the Community Manager you would be performing several roles simultaneously, such as:The Mayor

  • Accountable for operational delivery using your extensive people and building management experience
  • Diplomatic and confident running the show, passionate about giving residents an exceptional living experience and your onsite team a great place to work
  • Provide guidance on resident concerns, remaining calm and using good judgment to find solutions
  • Able to work with a wide variety of personalities, even when emotions run high, always communicating professionally with both external and internal stakeholders at all levels
The Mentor
  • Lead by example to inspire your onsite team to continuously deliver exceptional customer service to residents to exceed expectations at every opportunity
  • Constantly share priorities with onsite team to assure they follow proper protocol and always keep residents comfortable, safe, and secure
  • Maintain an open-door policy where your onsite team can talk to you about anything from improving their lettings or management skills to planning a resident event
  • Use your high energy to engage, train, and motivate your onsite team - all while building a family feeling within the onsite team that goes above and beyond for each other
  • Set goals to challenge and stretch yourself and your onsite team and keep each other accountable for delivering them successfully and have fun doing it
The Entrepreneur
  • Enjoy running your own mini empire and be a true business leader in your community
  • Prepare budgets and manage expenditures in line with the business plan
  • Continuously review the buildings financial performance and seek to find financial efficiencies and opportunities
  • Constantly analyse and report the building’s performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Seek to promote and market Cortland at every opportunity
  • Work closely with local businesses and vendors to establish Cortland’s brand and identity within the local community
The Compliance Officer
  • Responsible for health and safety and statutory compliance, including taking actions derived from fire safety and risk assessments
  • Manage processes for contractors and suppliers to complete reactive and planned maintenance
  • Responsible for implementing a compliance and testing regime, including emergency protocols
  • Available to deal with an emergency, even whilst off the clock
