The Role:Are you looking for a new challenge Do you have great admin & organisational skills with a strong attention to detail Are you comfortable speaking with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsThe Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Community Engagement Teams at each of our airports in day-to-day administration, coordination, and logistics of work activity. The role will be critical to the smooth delivery of communityengagement programmes, particularly consultation committees, mitigation schemes including sound insulation grant schemes, vortex repair schemes, community fund applications and volunteering programmes. The role will work closely with the Community EngagementManagers to support the smooth running of their work and support in the delivery of CSR Strategy objectivesResponsibilities include:
  • To provide support to the Head of Community Engagement and wider team to ensure the smooth running of the relevant programmes.
  • Providing day to day management of mitigation schemes including sound insulation grant scheme, vortex repair scheme and community funds.
  • Coordination of Consultative Committee & subgroups meetings, room bookings logistics etc, diary management for MAG members, report preparation and liaising with Consultative Committee secretaries to ensure all required documentation is prepared, presented,and recorded on time
  • Maintain and keep up to date stakeholder lists and organise comms as and when required
  • Supporting arrangements for community outreach, events, and meetings.
  • Assisting in arranging and organising volunteering opportunities, including liaising with external stakeholders, and undertaking post volunteering surveys to assess impacts.
  • Liaise with the wider CE team to establish youth forums at each airport and be responsible for the ongoing management, coordination, and successful delivery.
  • Coordination of Community Engagement budgets, raising purchase orders, reconciling invoices, arranging payments etc
  • Representing MAG airports at internal and external community events.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure Community Engagement information on Group wide websites is up to date for both internal and external stakeholders, including information on mitigation schemes, application processes, volunteering campaigns etc
  • Collation of monthly data and supporting the production of reports and other communications materials.
  • Work with the CE team to deliver assigned projects as part of wider CSR strategy e.g., Community Impact Surveys
  • Working flexibly as part of the group-wide CSR team providing support to other airports and working with other the Head of Environmental Strategy and Head of Skills, Education and Employment to deliver the aims and objectives of the wider team.
You:The team need someone who can hit the ground running, happy to work across a variety of tasks, with great admin, organisation and stake holder management skills. In return, there is a huge variety of work and opportunities to grow and develop within thebusiness. Experience required to be successful in this role includes:
  • Strong organisation skills, able to work accurately and independently and with attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and manage plans and programmes of work on behalf of the CE Team
  • Experience in liaising and building relationships with stakeholders and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Ability to work under demanding time pressure, balancing different priorities.
  • Good communication skills, able to deal directly with internal and external stakeholders, sometimes in challenging circumstances
  • Be a credible and effective ambassador for the business.
  • Strong IT skills: experience with databases and MS Excel.
