Job Description

The Communications Officer will support the Communications Manager in delivering a responsive press office function.Duties include:

  • Ensure representation from all hospitals in MFT iNews and ensure content is consistent for MFT style.
  • Support the Communications Manager (Content and Media) in implementing campaigns and projects for the individual hospitals and corporate services the postholder is aligned to. This will include writing a variety of content.
  • Actively look for content from across all hospitals which can be adapted for use in a variety of internal and external channels: Hospital CEO blogs, the Intranet, leadership forums, website and press releases.
  • Work closely with the Digital and Brand hub to ensure social media accounts are regularly updated with engaging, informative content.
  • Participate in the communications team on-call rota and work flexible hours when called to do so.
