Job Description

Commercial AnalystManchester £27,000 - £31,000 plus excellent benefits Are you a commercially astute forecaster / analyst looking to join a global player and play a key role in a company’s growth planThe successful candidate will be joining a highly successful and award winning distributor to the retail industry. The company boasts fantastic benefits including excellent holidays and flexi-time along with numerous routes for career progression.They are looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Analyst to be responsible for reporting, analysis and insight across several rapidly growing divisions and support the sales and accounts department in providing commercial analysis at an account and product level.This role represents an excellent opportunity to quickly develop in an expanding team, working across global brands throughout Europe.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of annual operating plans and updated forecast.
  • Ability to create and update matrices including pricing.
  • Post audit review of promotions.
  • The production and maintenance of all regular reports (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To be able to develop new reports/insight and make suggestions on improvements on existing reports/insight where necessary.
  • Production of ad-hoc analysis and insight.
  • Maintain product prices and costs on the promotional calculator (KD).
  • Monitor trade investment by account and work closely with account managers to drive better ROI on trade activity.
  • Support national account teams by analysing and interpreting data to create actionable recommendations.
  • Line manager responsibility for Commercial Analyst.
    • Essential Skills/Requirements:
  • You will be an advanced user in Excel and able to cope with using multiple systems. Experience of managing large data set and using pivot tables is essential.
  • Numerate and analytical thinker.
  • Takes proactive action when the situation calls for it.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions and analysis/insight to non-technical people.
  • Good commercial acumen and how this changes and affects the business.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • VBA Skills for Reports- Excel & Access.
