Job Description

Are you a Commercial Account Handler that enjoys working with clients from start-ups and helping them develop Does a growing broker that has opportunities for future progression interest you Are you looking to have responsibility to just get on with it’ and have confidence in your decision makingIf so, our client is a progressive insurance broker based in Manchester that is looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join its team.The company has been expanding over the last couple of years and is hopeful the successful candidate will grow within the role. It works with start up businesses in a niche sector and look to develop the accounts with their clients ever changing needs, this can include Global growth, so you’ll be ingrained in your clients business and become a Trusted Adviser’ throughout their journey.Some of your duties will include:

  • Dealing with clients from inception throughout the policy period, up to and including renewal.
  • Handling clients starting from £500 - £10k premium, as well as involvement in the company’s larger cases.
  • Having the opportunity to meet with clients with the Execs/Directors when appropriate.
  • Working with partner brokers internationally to secure cover as and when your clients expand.
  • Building strong relationships with clients to become an integral part of their growth.
  • Dealing with mainly Package risks, as well as Marine, PI, Business Travel, BI etc.
  • It is essential that you have experience dealing with Commercial Insurance products within Broking to be considered. Our client is looking for someone that has courage in their conviction with risk decisions, and not the need for constant referring, as you will be given autonomy in your role. Your Line Manager is a very relaxed and supportive leader who is down to earth, someone with very specialist knowledge that can mentor you. You will be confident, yet humble, care about producing quality work and have the client at the forefront of your decisions.In return, you’ll receive a generous salary commensurate to your experience.
