This global packaging and brand experience company have been established for over 75 years and are experts in delivering packaging solutions and brand experiences for some of the worlds greatest brands.They have offices across the UK and are currently looking for a Colour and Retouching Operator to join their North West office in Manchester.As a colour and retouching expert, youll be responsible for modifying and enhancing images for artwork production.Working with the client project team, youll perform colour manipulations, retouching, photo composition, colour proofs and printer-specific colour corrections or modifications for packaging or digital (pre-media) layouts per project technical specifications. Attends project meetings to evaluate individual project needs. Makes recommendations and/or changes to files that have been prepared for correct output. Prints proofs on all available proofing devices. Performs QC on proofs, including measuring colour. Creates ink recipes to match supplied colour target provided by clients or printers. May involve process to create a recipe, produce a proof, measure the results and adjust until the target colour is met. Assembles high quality proof presentations, mock-ups and sales samples for clients. Reviews quality of final product before release to client. Ensures high quality standards in all production client deliverables, including accurate, consistent and timely completion of projects according to budget and project specifications. Effectively uses industry standard software, tools, and photo and colour manipulation techniques such as photo composition, colour manipulation, retouching and scanning.What were looking for:You must have previous colour and retouching experience, ideally with packaging or POS. and wed like to see some examples of your work in a portfolio.Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Youll be self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
